Refugees in Europe and beyond suffer from various mental disorders as a result of war-related trauma. 😔

▶️ During the ‘SOS: Strengthening Our Support’ course in Saron, Cantabria, we had an inspiring opportunity to learn from the local Ukrainian community 🇺🇦 how to recognize, categorize, and respond to the symptoms of mental health decline among refugees.

📖 We learned about the different stages of mental deterioration: mobilization, exhaustion and deformation. Later, we discussed various syndromes developed in the context of military conflicts and other humanitarian disasters, such as imposter syndrome or survivor syndrome.
